Jeffrey W. Moses, M.D., Professor of Medicine at Columbia
University College of Physicians and Surgeons, is Director of the
Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy at NewYork-Presbyterian
Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. He is also Director of
the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia.
An internationally recognized interventional cardiologist, Dr. Moses has performed more than
12,000 interventional procedures, authored over 600 publications, and served as lead investigator
for numerous national and international clinical studies that have demonstrated the effectiveness
and safety of coronary stent placement. In 2002, Dr. Moses was the lead investigator on a large clinical
trial, the first in the U.S. that demonstrated the enormous benefit that led to FDA approval of the
first drug-coated stent now used in the majority of interventional procedures in the U.S. A key faculty
member and Vice President of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, Dr. Moses has made
important contributions in the areas of clinical research and educational activities in interventional
vascular therapy. He is also a pioneer in developing approaches involving minimally invasive surgery,
angioplasty, gene therapy, and various support devices that allow for wider application of
interventional cardiovascular procedures.
Dr. Moses, who previously held a professorship in Clinical Medicine at New York University School
of Medicine, also served in various positions at The New York Hospital (now NewYork-Presbyterian/
Weill Cornell) in New York, where he became Associate Director of the Adult Cardiac Catheterization
Laboratory and Director of Clinical Electrophysiology. He is a fellow in multiple professional societies
and serves on the editorial board as a reviewer for numerous peer review journals.
Dr. Moses completed medical school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and
his internship, residency and fellowship in cardiology at the Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania
Medical Center.

Martin B. Leon, M.D., is Professor of Medicine at Columbia
University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Associate
Director of the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy at
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical
Center, and Chairman of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation
in New York City. An internationally renowned interventional cardiologist, Dr. Leon has had an important
impact on almost every significant development in the field of interventional vascular therapy over the
past 20 years. He has performed more than 7,000 interventional procedures and has co-authored over
1,100 publications. Dr. Leon is also the Founder and Director of Transcatheter Cardiovascular
Therapeutics—the largest dedicated meeting in interventional vascular therapy in the world.
Dr. Leon has been a national principal investigator of more than 20 major clinical interventional
trials in the United States. He is a featured lecturer at international symposia, most recently focusing on
the areas of drug-eluting stents and transcatheter valve therapy. Dr. Leon has also received six
international career achievement awards, and recently was given an honorary degree from the
University of Athens.
Dr. Leon was previously the Director of Cardiovascular Research and Education at the Lenox Hill
Heart and Vascular Institute in New York City. He also has served as Director of Cardiovascular Research
at the Washington Cardiology Center at the Washington Hospital Center and as Clinical Professor of
Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC. He was a Clinical Associate,
Senior Investigator, and Director of the Catheterization Laboratories in the Cardiology Branch of the
National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He
was a Founder of both the Washington Cardiology Center and the Cardiology Research Foundation in
Washington, DC.
Dr. Leon received his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine, and completed his internship,
residency in internal medicine, and fellowship training in cardiology at the Yale-New Haven Hospital.

William A. Gray, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist, board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Intervention by the American Board of Vascular Medicine. Dr. Gray has been at the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy (CIVT) as Director, Endovascular Intervention at New York Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital since 2005.
Prior to joining Columbia University Dr. Gray was Director of the Endovascular Care at Swedish Medical Center from 1999-2005. Before Seattle, Dr. Gray practiced at Southwest Cardiology where he directed research, served as vice-chair of the Cardiology division at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M., and was a founding member of the Heart Hospital of New Mexico.
Dr. Gray specializes in coronary and peripheral arterial disease diagnosis and treatment with a special interest in non-surgical modalities for stroke prevention, specifically carotid stenting, patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure, and left atrial appendage occlusion for patients in atrial fibrillation.
Dr. Gray has been principal investigator for numerous clinical trials, and is routinely asked to speak at national and international conferences. He has also been a consultant and device/procedure proctor for numerous medical corporations, and has been a journal reviewer for the Journal of the American Medical Association the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Circulation. He has been a regular contributor to the Endovascular Board examination.
Dr. Gray holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Gray’s postgraduate training included an internship, residency, and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I., where he also completed a clinical/research/interventional fellowship in Cardiology.
Dr. Gray is also a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, and the American College of Physicians.

Neil Goyal, MD MPH
Dr. Goyal specializes in interventional cardiology with an interest in percutaneous valve therapies. He completed his undergraduate education at The Johns Hopkins University and medical school education at Columbia University with a combined degree in public health.
He trained in cardiology, interventional cardiology and echocardiography at Columbia University. He is an attending physician and faculty at Columbia University.
