How soon will this patient be able to begin rehab and do you prefer AAROM with a dowel versus wall walking exercises early on? At what active ROM can this patient begin strengthening exercises?

This patient will begin physical therapy immediately with PROM of the shoulder for six weeks while healing occurs and then after six weeks AAROM and AROM is initiated. Cuff and periscapular strengthening is started at 10 weeks post-op. Patients are allowed to use their elbow wrist and hand immediately after surgery for feeding, driving and computer use. thanks sdmartin
