If a person has osteoporosis does that neccessarily mean that open surgery is required rather than arthroscopic?

The procedure can be carried out in osteoportic bone but a larger size anchor may be needed. In extremely osteoporotic bone a miniopen repair may be required for attachment of the tendon through bone tunnels with augmentation of the bone at the time of surgery. thanks dmartin
