Intended Audience:
This webcast is designed for all physician specialists and primary care providers who manage patients with urinary tract disorders, especially those with overactive bladder and related conditions. These clinical disciplines include, but are not limited to: urological specialists, specialists in urologic gynecology, primary care physicians, geriatricians, long-term care directors, women’s health specialists, nurse practitioners, geriatric nurse practitioners, pharmacists and physician assistants

Educational Objectives:

  • Urologists, gynecologists, primary care physicians, geriatricians, and women’s health specialists will learn to screen patients for urinary tract disorders, including overactive bladder, bladder dysfunction, and sub clinical urinary tract infection.
  • Urologists, gynecologists, primary care physicians, geriatricians, and women’s health specialists will learn how to confirm the diagnosis of overactive bladder, and learn the appropriate sequence and use of diagnostic modalities used to confirm the diagnosis.
  • Urologists, gynecologists, primary care physicians, geriatricians, and women’s health specialists will learn evidence-based approaches to managing urinary tract, with a special focus on differentiating safety, efficacy, and pharmacologic properties of available therapeutic agents.
  • Clinicians will learn how to counsel patients with overactive bladder and guide them in measures that improve long-term urinary tract health.
  • Clinicians will learn how to implement a systematic approach to diagnostic assessment of patients with urinary frequency, urgency, and related symptoms.
  • Clinicians will learn how landmark trials and analyses focusing on overactive bladder should guide pharmacologic therapy.
