Nader Ghaly, MD, FACC, FAHA
Director of electrophysiology and arrhythmia services, The Heart Institute at ARMC
Nader N. Ghaly, MD, FACC, FAHA, is director of Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia Services at the Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC). He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology.
Ghaly previously served as a staff cardiologist at West Jersey Health System in Voorhees, New Jersey, Kennedy Memorial Hospital-University Medical Center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. He also served as associate director of Arrhythmia Services at the Medical College of New Jersey in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; assistant clinical professor of medicine at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey; and as a clinical electrophysiologist with the South Jersey Heart Group in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Ghaly earned his Doctorate in Medicine at Ain Shams University School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. He performed his residency in internal medicine at ARMC and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Boston University Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Ghaly served as a medical house physician at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton, Massachusetts and completed a rotating internship at Ain Shams School of Medicine.
Ghaly is a fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association Council on Clinical Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology. He has done extensive research in the Electrophysiology field. His special interests include music and travel.
Ghaly lives in Voorhees, New Jersey with his wife Mona and three children Tammer, Sylvia and Sally.

Howard Levite, MD
Medical Director of the Heart Institute at ACME; Director of the Heart Institute's Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories
Howard Levite, MD, MBA, of Margate, is medical director of the Heart Institute at Atlantic City Medical Center (ACMC) and director of the Heart Institute's cardiac catheterization laboratories. Levite, an interventional cardiologist, oversees all medical operations of the Heart Institute, which is the region's only comprehensive cardiac program.
Board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Levite served as full-time attending physician in the cardiac catheterization laboratories of New York University (NYU) and Bellevue Hospitals in Manhattan, and as assistant professor of Clinical Medicine at NYU School of Medicine. He served as the secretary of the Executive Board of the Association of Attending Physicians and Surgeons, as well as Department of Medicine Liaison on the Board of Managers of the University Physicians Network at NYU. Levite trained dozens of cardiology fellows in catheterization and interventional techniques. He served on numerous catheterization lab and hospital committees and was a co-investigator on nearly 20 clinical catheterization lab trials. Levite is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Levite earned his Doctorate in Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. He attained his Master of Business Administration Degree from the Zicklin School of Business, City University of New York. Levite trained in internal medicine at the University of Chicago. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and his cardiac catheterization and angioplasty fellowship at NYU Medical Center. Levite received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Yale University.

Howard I. Axelrod, MD
Cardiothoracic Surgeon, The Heart Institute at ARMC
Howard Ian Axelrod, MD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC). Axelrod performs all phases of cardiac surgery including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Beating Heart Surgery, traditional and minimally invasive valve repair and replacement surgery and Aortic Aneurism Surgery. Axelrod is on the faculty of New York University School of Medicine
and serves as an associate professor of surgery.
Prior to joining ARMC, Axelrod was an attending cardiovascular surgeon at Westchester Medical Center, where he initiated the Off Pump CABG program as well as the minimally invasive valve surgery program. In addition he brought minimally invasive vein harvest to Westchester. He was involved in the heart transplant and pediatric surgery program as well. Axelrod also served as an associate professor of surgery at New York Medical college.
Axelrod received his Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine in New York, New York. He performed his surgical residency at New York University (NYU) Medical Center, where he was also a cardiovascular surgery research fellow and a cardiothoracic surgery fellow. He also served as chief resident in surgery at NYU. Axelrod graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Union College in Schenectady, New York.
Axelrod is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He has published a number of manuscripts and abstracts in peer reviewed journals. Axelrod lives in Egg Harbor Township.
