Howard Levite, MD
Medical Director of the Heart Institute at ARMC; Director of the Heart Institute's Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories
Howard Levite, MD, MBA, of Margate, is medical director of the Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) and director of the Heart Institute's cardiac catheterization laboratories. Levite, an interventional cardiologist, oversees all medical operations of the Heart Institute, which is the region's only comprehensive cardiac program.
Board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Levite served as full-time attending physician in the cardiac catheterization laboratories of New York University (NYU) and Bellevue Hospitals in Manhattan, and as assistant professor of medicine at NYU School of Medicine. He served as the secretary of the Executive Board of the Association of Attending Physicians and Surgeons, as well as Department of Medicine Liaison on the Board of Managers of the University Physicians Network at NYU. Levite trained dozens of cardiology fellows in catheterization and interventional techniques. He served on numerous catheterization lab and hospital committees and was a co-investigator on nearly 20 clinical catheterization lab trials. Levite is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Levite earned his Doctorate in Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. He attained his Master of Business Administration Degree from the Zicklin School of Business, City University of New York. Levite trained in internal medicine at the University of Chicago. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and his cardiac catheterization and angioplasty fellowship at NYU Medical Center. Levite received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Yale University.

Giuseppe Gioia, MD, FACC
Interventional Cardiologist, The Heart Institute at ARMC
Giuseppe Gioia, MD, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist at the Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC). He specializes in endovascular treatment of coronary artery and peripheral artery disease. Gioia is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
Gioia serves as an associate cardiovascular consultant with Atlantic Cardiovascular Consultants in Hammonton, New Jersey. He is affiliated with Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey and is a consultant for Hesperia Hospital in Modena, Italy. He served as associate clinical professor at the University of South Alabama and was formerly affiliated with the Heart Group in Mobile, Alabama.
Gioia earned his Doctorate in Medicine at Padua University School of Medicine in Padua, Italy. He completed his cardiology fellowships at Hahnemann University Hospital and the Philadelphia Heart Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He performed his residency at Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. Gioia served as staff lieutenant in the Military Hospital of Padua. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Instituto Statale in Cosenza, Italy.
Gioia is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. Gioia and his wife Sondra reside in Egg Harbor City with their children Maria, Mario and Emanuele Brian.
