About the Physicians

William Schrader, M.D.  

William Schrader, M.D.

Dr. Schrader is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and director of the Musculoskeletal Health Center at Akron Children’s Hospital. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He performed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Summa Health System’s Akron City Hospital and at Akron Children’s Hospital. He pursued an additional year of subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric orthopedic surgery and spinal surgery at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas.

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Schrader has been at Akron Children’s Hospital since 1989. His most common cases include fractures, scoliosis and other spinal deformities, and cerebral palsy.

Patrick Riley, M.D.  

Patrick Riley, M.D.

Dr. Riley is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Akron Children’s Hospital’s Musculoskeletal Health Center and an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He is a graduate of Kenyon College and attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Summa Health System’s Akron City Hospital and at Akron Children’s Hospital. He completed an additional year of subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric orthopedic surgery and spinal surgery at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Riley is board certified in orthopedic surgery.
