Norm Sanders joined ArthroCare in early 2001 working with the Spine business unit. He was promoted to medical director of ArthroCare in 2002, and vice president in 2004. Sanders received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of California, San Francisco, where he also did his postgraduate training in surgery and anesthesiology. Prior to entering business he practiced anesthesiology in the San Francisco Bay Area. He served as an assistant clinical professor of anesthesiology at the University of California, San Francisco, and also in the department of Military/Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Md.
