About the Physicians and Staff

David Simenstad, MD David Simenstad, MD

David Simenstad, MD, joined Marshfield Clinic nearly 15 years ago, starting out at its Minocqua Center. He transferred to the Marshfield campus and Saint Joseph’s Hospital in 2005. An orthopedic surgeon, he also serves on the Marshfield Clinic Executive Committee and is currently its treasurer.

He received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in general surgery and orthopedic surgery at the University of Utah-Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City. His fellowship in total joint replacement surgery was completed at Intermountain Healthcare-Bone & Joint Institute, also in Salt Lake City.

 

James Conterato, MD James Conterato, MD

Anesthesiologist James Conterato, MD, has been with Marshfield Clinic/Saint Joseph’s Hospital since 1979.

He received his medical degree at Rush University Medical Center-Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine at Marshfield Clinic/Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Dr. Conterato also completed a residency in anesthesia at Mayo Clinic and further specialty training in regional anesthesia. He is also involved in residency teaching in anesthesia.


Charles Kenney, MD Charles Kenney, MD

Charles Kenney, MD, specializes in musculoskeletal radiology. He joined Marshfield Clinic/Saint Joseph’s Hospital in 2006.

He attended medical school at the Southern Illinois University-School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of New Mexico-Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque, and completed his fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the University of California-San Diego Medical Center.

 

F. Stig Jacobsen, MD F. Stig Jacobsen, MD

F. Stig Jacobsen, MD, has practiced at Marshfield Clinic/Saint Joseph’s Hospital for 23 years. He specializes in orthopedic surgery and pediatric orthopedics.

He attended medical school at the University of Copenhagen-School of Medicine in Copenhagen, Denmark. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Copenhagen-Glostrup & Gentofte Hospitals in Copenhagen. His fellowship in pediatric orthopedics was completed at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
