About the Physicians and Staff

Marvin Kuehner, MD Marvin Kuehner, MD

Marvin Kuehner, MD, a Marshfield Clinic vascular and bariatric surgeon has been on staff at Saint Joseph’s Hospital since 1974. He is board certified in surgery and general vascular surgery.

A native of Texas, he received his medical degree from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, MO, and completed his internship and residency at Washington University-Barnes-Jewish Hospital in  St. Louis, MO. He also served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps., and at the Army Hospital in Munich, Germany.

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Kuehner has held several administrative roles within Marshfield Clinic including serving on the Executive Committee, and Salary Committee.  He is current acting as Division Medical Director.


Timothy Wengert, MD Timothy Wengert, MD

A native of Iowa, Dr. Timothy Wengert received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine.  Following his surgical residency at Marshfield Clinic and Saint Joseph's Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at Ferguson Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.

Dr Wengert officially joined the Marshfield Clinic staff in 1991 and is board certified in both General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery.  He has served on Clinic's Executive Committee in the past and is currently the Chairman of the Department of General Surgery.

Anishur Rahman, MD, DO Anishur Rahman, MD, DO

Anishur Rahman, MD, DO, joined Marshfield Clinic and Saint Joseph’s Hospital in August of 2007 after completing a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery. He received his degree in medicine and surgery from Sir Salimullah Medical College, Mitford, Dhaka, Bangladesh, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.

He completed his surgical residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY, and his fellowship at St. John’s Hospital in Detroit, MI.


Chrisanne Urban, MS, RD, CD Chrisanne Urban, MS, RD, CD

Chrisanne Urban, MS, RD, CD, came from Waukesha, WI to join the Marshfield Clinic in 1994. She is responsible for outpatient counseling for patients with nutritional concerns, developing patient educational materials and providing nutrition education. She received her master’s of science in human nutrition from Michigan State University.


Sheila Blackmun, RN, BSN

Sheila Blackmun, RN, BSN is from Grand Forks, ND and is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of North Dakota School Of Nursing.  Before moving to Marshfield in 2004, she was a heart transplant coordinator and has several years of nursing experience in critical care and emergency medicine.  As the Bariatric Surgery Program Coordinator, she is responsible for the overall planning, implementation and evaluation of the bariatric program throughout the Marshfield Clinic system.


David Winemiller, PhD David Winemiller, PhD

David Winemiller, Ph.D., has been a clinical psychologist with Marshfield Clinic since 1995. His primary focus is behavioral medicine and issues related to alcohol and other drug abuse.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Carroll College in Waukesha and earned both his master’s equivalency and his doctor of philosophy, at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.

His residency and post-doctoral fellowship in geropsychology/health psychology were completed with the Department of Psychology at Rush-Pres-St. Luke’s Medical Center, also in Chicago.
