New York City, New York – On October 18, 2007 at 7:00 PM EDT, Biomet will sponsor a surgical broadcast featuring a live total shoulder replacement, moderated by Edward V. Craig, M.D. and performed by David M. Dines, M.D. at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, New York. Dr. Dines will utilize the Comprehensive® Shoulder System instrumentation and implants from Biomet Orthopedics, Inc.
This system is designed for an anatomical reconstruction of the entire glenohumeral joint and features specialized primary stems, Versa-Dial™ humeral heads that allow surgeons to set an infinite amount of offset between 0.5 and 4.5mm and modular hybrid glenoids with optional central peg for long-term fixation potential.
